The Big Boardman Float is an event to show our appreciation of our natural resources. We use Boardman Lake, River and Lake Michigan for our business and we wanted to put together a collaborative event to give back. The Big Boardman float will be a fundraiser for Boardman River Clean Sweep and Boardman River improvements. 100% of kayak rentals, outside beer and food sales will benefit this non-profit.
Participants can choose to bring their own kayak or rent a single or tandem kayak from Paddle TC or Paddle For Pints/Kayak, Bike & Brew. From 2-5pm you are given the option to launch at either Clinch Park or Hull Park for a casual paddle. Half way through your paddle – or upon completion – we invite you to the back parking lot of Rare Bird Brewpub for an appreciation party.
Rare Bird Brewpub will host our event in the back parking lot from 3-7pm. We will have live music from Mike Moran, games, and good times!
All local breweries that participate in Kayak Brewery Tours, KaBrew, Paddle For Pints & Kayak, Bike & Brew have been generous enough to also help raise funds for this cause. Beers will be available on tap from the breweries listed below. 100% of outside beer and food sales will be donated to Boardman River Clean Sweep to help with improvements and clean ups on the Boardman River.
