KayakJackson Kayak - Riviera
Paddle TC’s Boat of Choice: Jackson Kayak’s Riviera Edition (single or double). The Riviera is a fun, easy to navigate sit-a-top kayak with a high back seat that gives you the comfort and support you need to enjoy your paddling adventure.
Ideas for Paddle TC’s Kayak Rentals: Kayaking is one of those classic activities that puts you right in the center of nature and provides an excellent workout.
Rent a Paddle TC kayak and enjoy a peaceful paddle across the tranquil waters of West Grand Traverse Bay. The water on the bay is so clear you will be able to see king salmon and many other native fish species swimming beneath you even at depths of 20 feet!
The possibilities for a day of fun in your Paddle TC kayak rental are endless. You could paddle beside the Manitou, a ‘tall ship’ replica of an 1800’s coasting cargo schooner. Make sure to keep your camera handy! Explore Traverse City’s majestic shoreline enjoying a picturesque waterside view of Old Mission Peninsula. Take it out to the middle of the bay for some fishing. If this low impact exercise that’s burning 400 to 500 calories an hour isn’t enough, paddle out and dive into that beautiful blue water for a quick dip. Race your buddies from here to there. Slow the pace a bit and float along and embrace that stress free, tranquil feeling we call Northern Michigan. Stay out late and watch one of Traverse City’s famous sunsets from your boat. Relax on an early morning float and watch the area come alive. For an added touch, grab some coffee from one of the many shops in town and float around enjoying that first cup of the day as the water caresses you. Or, head up the Boardman River delving into the heart of downtown Traverse City as you paddle by the boardwalk, homes, gift shops, restaurants, breweries and galleries.
Perhaps you’re looking for a kayak to use on one of the many other rivers or lakes in the area. We deliver! Overnight, weekend and weeklong rentals are available. Just ask!
If you are feeling uncomfortable because you have never kayaked before, Paddle TC can help! Paddle TC offers lessons and guided tours. Contact us, we want to make your experience extraordinary!
What to Wear: Dress for the water, not the weather. Take into consideration the water temperature rather than the air temperature. Layers of quick-dry clothing are ideal, and hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are highly recommended. For footwear, wear sturdy, strap-on sandals or water shoes. Dry bags for your valuables (wallet, keys, phone, etc.) are available for rent or purchase at the rental booth.
